Dr. Scott Jens, co-founder and CEO of Rev360, shares how his company approaches making tough decisions and how business owners can use optometry data to make practice decisions.
“Surround yourself with others who care or are smarter than you,” he says. “It’s that simple.”
According to Dr. Jens, you need to have the right team in place to make smart, analytic decisions, and to avoid making rash ones.
Successful businesses put the right people in place to make decisions, and have a process for sharing data among team members and facilitating discussion and decision-making.
Learn about how you can use these important key performance indicators to drive practice decisions.
But there’s more to a good decision-making process than having the right team in place. Once a decision has been made, even if there’s dissent, everyone has to support the decision and own it going forward.
“Too often people make decisions they don’t own all the way and that’s when you get into trouble,” Dr. Jens explains.
“Our advice? Get the right people in the room, digest the info, make a decision and have even the dissenters own it.”
