As someone who effectively lost their job when a practice closed, I've had a great learning experience in knowing where to look for optometry jobs, and what to look for in new career opportunities.
Only a year and a half out of school, I've learned a lot of lessons out in the "real world" of optometry. Many of those lessons clinical in nature; however, a lot of those lessons involved learning about myself and who I am.
Getting started is never easy as you begin your career, and I could not have had a better time sharing some of my learning experiences with the team at NGO at Vision Expo West.
