Registration Opens for Eyes On Glaucoma, Held June 10-11, 2022
San Diego, California – April 13, 2022 – Eyes On Eyecare® today announced that registration is officially open for Eyes On Glaucoma 2022. The two-day virtual educational summit for ophthalmologists and optometrists is scheduled for June 10-11, 2022. Last year’s event drew nearly 4,000 eyecare professionals from around the globe, making Eyes on Glaucoma a unique opportunity to stay on top of the latest trends impacting a leading cause of blindness worldwide.
Dedicated to the latest research, clinical trends, innovative diagnostics standards, and cutting-edge treatment options, Eyes On Glaucoma 2022 will feature live sessions and interactive Q&As with renowned specialists, leading innovations in a virtual exhibit hall, industry-wide networking, and an opportunity to earn up to 6 hours of free CME and COPE-accredited CE on topics directly related to patient care. Attendees can also win up to $3,000 in prizes by finding secret codes and hidden raffle tickets.
“I’m really excited to build on the success of last year’s program,” said Justin Schweitzer, OD, FAAO and Eyes On Glaucoma moderator. “Glaucoma is a major part of eyecare practice for both ophthalmologists and optometrists. It’s important that our colleagues have the most up-to-date information about diagnostic and treatment strategies and learn to work together in a collaborative environment to provide the best care for patients. This year’s show will feature an incredible faculty of ophthalmologists and optometrists who will help to guide practitioners into the next frontier of practice.”
Glaucoma often has no early symptoms, which is why the educational sessions at Eyes On Glaucoma cover the latest diagnostic and screening technologies, first-hand knowledge from glaucoma experts, evidence-based treatment options, pharmaceutical agents, and other emerging developments, as well as co-management strategies that promote collaborative care between optometry and ophthalmology.
Eyes On Glaucoma will be moderated by Justin Schweitzer, OD, FAAO in the clinical track and Constance Okeke, MD and MSCE Brian Shafer, MD in the implementation track. In more than 25 expert-led sessions, eyecare professionals can focus on topics that directly affect their patients, including: The Drop Debate: Patient Considerations and Conundrums; Stents and Beyond: Navigating the Waters of MIGS; Living the Laser Life: The OD and MD Perspective; Back to the Basics: Accurately Interpreting OCT and Visual Fields, and more. Additionally, the Exhibit Hall and Show Specials will highlight novel diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and procedures that will keep today’s eyecare professionals on top of the latest solutions that enhance their patients’ vision and eye health. COPE-accredited CE at this event will be categorized as Interactive Distance Learning. This activity is jointly provided by Clinical and Patient Educators Association and iVista Medical Education, Inc. iVista Medical Education, Inc. is the COPE administrator for this event.
