The three-day educational summit was the largest virtual dry eye-focused event of the year with a record-breaking 4,330 attendees, 9 hours of free COPE-accredited CE, and over 18,400 hours of watched education and premier, real-time learning from over 51 dry eye faculty members. It’s estimated that over 35 million Americans currently suffer from dry eye disease symptoms and ocular surface inflammation. Designed to help optometrists and ophthalmologists manage chronic dry eye disease as well as acute dry eye symptoms caused by glaucoma, systemic disease, surgery, and other conditions, the three-day event was co-chaired by dry eye experts, Damon Dierker, OD, FAAO, and Ahmad Fahmy, OD, FAAO, Dipl ABO.
