CovalentCareers, Inc. Announces Acquisition of Everything Dry Eye Event
San Diego, California – January 11, 2021 – CovalentCareers, Inc. (“CovalentCareers”), a career development company for new healthcare professionals and the largest provider of new graduate eyecare professional career resources, is pleased to announce that it has acquired the Everything Dry Eye virtual event. The show will be rebranded Eyes On Dry Eye and the 2021 event will take place April 23-24, 2021.
CovalentCareers is the leading event organizer in the eyecare space and produced the industry-leading Eyes On 2021 event November 20-22, 2020. CovalentCareers will leverage its proprietary virtual event technology and audience of 41,000 eyecare professionals to produce the Eyes On Dry Eye 2021 virtual show.
Damon Dierker, OD, FAAO and Ahmad Fahmy, OD, FAAO, Dipl, ABO, co-creators of Everything Dry Eye, will remain closely involved with the rebranded Eyes On Dry Eye event, moderating the education tracks and ensuring that the event provides the maximum educational value to the largest audience of international eyecare professionals.
“Ahmad and I developed Everything Dry Eye to deliver the latest information to help eye care providers improve the lives of their patients and the success of their practices,” says Dr. Dierker. “With the pandemic, we made the decision to move to the virtual space and are proud to have pulled off an incredibly successful event last year with the help of CovalentCareers. We’re really excited to partner with them on a rebranded Eyes On event, with goals to increase audience size, engagement, and meaningful action by attendees.”
More than 1,800 eyecare professionals attended the first-ever Everything Dry Eye virtual symposium on August 14-15, 2020. That inaugural event boasted two education tracks, 9 continuing education credits, an interactive exhibit hall, and a networking room. The show featured 20 live educational sessions led by faculty including Donald Korb, OD, Melissa Barnett, OD, Laura Periman, MD, Whitney Hauser, OD, and many more.
"Dry eye patients are finally starting to get the diagnosis and treatment plans they deserve thanks to increased disease state awareness from a global community of eyecare professionals,” says Matt Geller, OD, CEO and co-founder of CovalentCareers. “Our decision to acquire Everything Dry Eye aligns with our goal to help educate doctors in order to ultimately impact the lives of patients in need."
Eyes On Dry Eye 2021 will offer continuing education credit, timely clinical lectures on Dry Eye Disease from renowned ophthalmic faculty, and live networking moderated by leading optometrists and ophthalmologists. Registration will be announced at a later date.
