Sukhmandeep Kaur

Sukhmandeep Kaur is a third-year at Touro COM Harlem with a strong interest in ophthalmology and business. Her passion for ophthalmology stems from her experience attending eye camps in Allahabad, India where she came to grasp the ability of cataract surgery, a low cost, minimally invasive intervention, to alter the course of peoples’ lives. Prior to starting medical school, she founded a tutoring company that used a virtual platform to tutor students all over the United States. She hopes to use her experiences in ophthalmology and business to help foster more virtual technology that can be instrumental in treating ophthalmologic emergencies in third world countries where other diagnostic and surgical equipment may be unavailable.
