Amanda Gerson, OD

Dr. Amanda Gerson completed her undergraduate studies at Blackburn college in Carlinville, IL. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She is a 2019 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry, where she graduated with many academic and clinical excellence awards. Dr. Gerson’s practice emphasis is in primary eye care, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome and diabetic eye complications. Dr. Gerson is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association and is currently serving as the President of the Southwestern Illinois Optometric Society.

Locally, Dr. Gerson is involved in the Jacksonville Lions Club where she serves as the Publicity Chair and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. In her free time, Dr. Gerson enjoys riding her horses and boating with her family. She can often be found spending time with her nieces and nephews.
